I didn’t sleep well last night. The upcoming race at O’Reilly Raceway Park will likely be our last run for 2010. Unable to sleep, I made a mental list of our 2010 accomplishments:
- We qualified in the top 5 at Baer Field Speedway in 5 out of 7 races.
- We finished in the top 10 every race at Baer Field.
- We were fortunate enough to practice multiple times before the season started. We have NEVER been able to practice before the first race.
- We kept the body clean. Other than a few tire rubs and dings, the car is still in very good shape. After our 2009 season, that is a huge accomplishment.
The one thing not on that list is a win. Yes, we have made HUGE strides over 2009…but I still want to win. With our 2010 season winding down, my goal is to win the race at ORP. That’s not to say we’ll try anything stupid to win, but we will go out and give it absolutely everything we’ve got.
Also, I have to give a big thanks to Tim Bennett for helping us out with practice tires.
Personally, I’m very excited for the praise and worship concert that will be put on by On Track Ministries beginning at 5pm. God, family, friends, and racing….it doesn’t get much better than that!
We have the setup. We have the tires. We have the motor. We have the car. It’s time to go to work!
Until next time,
